starting in a small storefront in 1979, New York Food
Company has become one of Southern California’s
top catering firms, producing hundreds of events a month
and approaching each one with an eye for detail, service
and quality.
When
founder Louise Talbot opened her small deli in Hermosa
Beach, California, she didn’t realize that a staff
of more than 150 people and 15,000 square feet of bustling
kitchens was in her future. But when she met her future
husband, Joe Lohman, also a chef, together they began
to formulate the foundation of what today is New York
Food Company.
A
big part of that foundation was a credo that both Louise
and Joe live and work by -- to offer “Great Food.
Anywhere. Anytime.” Today, this motto is taken to
heart by the entire company.
Dedication
to quality and service and the underlying philosophy that
no detail is too small is what makes NYFC successful. Everyone
at NYFC brings experience, knowledge and creativity to
everything the company does, from delivering sandwiches
to your boardroom to planning and catering your wedding
to producing a gourmet sit-down meal under a tent.
And,
in addition to producing events and supplying more than
3,000 South Bay corporations with gourmet meals for meetings
and daily lunches, NYFC also manages two of the South
Bay’s most sought-after ocean-view event sites for
social events, weddings and corporate meetings and events
-- La Venta Inn and Verandas.
